Polish furniture industry has got a big production potential. Poland has the eighth furniture manufacturer position after: China, USA, Italy, Germany, Japan, Brazil and Great Britain. Since 2012 in the terms of value of sold production Poland is ahead of France and Spain.

Polish furniture industry has got a high position among the world’s leading furniture exporters. According to UN statistics it achieved fifth position in the world exporter of furniture with the sales value of 9 234 455 USD.

 

The volume of polish sold production furniture industry in statistics of 2013 achieved about 30 billion PLN. The export of furniture reached more than 28 billion PLN. Polish furniture industry has achieved the highest position among all Polish manufacturing industries. Poland is recognized as a country, which specializing in furniture manufacturing. Furniture from Poland is now 4,5% of supplies to the global market.

 

Polish furniture industry market is very competitive. It operates about 6 thousand of industrial scale entities. A share of medium and big companies in the structure of sold production value is for a long time about 80%. Those companies mainly decide about Polish furniture potential.

 

In Poland all types of furniture are produced, so Polish enterprises can differentiate and customize an assortment of produced furniture in terms of materials, finishing and design. Poland has a lot of raw wood reserves, so the quality of furniture produced in Poland is very high.

 

Polish companies also have an access to the latest furniture manufacturing technology. Poland is also seen as a country, where global companies can commission a furniture production, according to ready patterns. The quality of these patterns manufactured in Poland will be made according to the highest global requirements.

 

Production of the furniture in Poland is very important element of the Polish economy and has a greater significance than the EU average. If compare the value of the furniture sold production in EU to Poland, you can see that the furniture industry in 2012 was three times more important for the Polish economy than for EU economy.

Polish furniture industry is among the group of leaders in the terms of production and export in the world. Official statistical data gathered from the other countries indicate, that during last few years Poland took the 7th position in the category of furniture production volume in the world (ahead are: China, USA, Italy, Germany, Japan and Brazil). The further figures indicate:

-       the biggest furniture manufactures in the world in 2011,

-       ranking of furniture export leaders in 2012 in terms of value,

-       and volume,

-       incomes and costs of furniture industry from sales of products, goods and materials in 2010-2013 period, according to quarters.

The furniture import to Poland is 7 times lower than export. It grew in the period of 2010-2011, but gradually reduced in the further years. It is estimated that in 2013 the import of the furniture to Poland was 935 million euro.
