Polish Jewelry Market

The jewellery market in Poland is expected to reach the value of PLN3bn in 2015.

There are 11,500 jeweller's shops registered in Poland.

The market is dominated by chain stores, which are outcompeting small retailers.

Chains still see potential for growth of its networks in suitable locations. Shopping centres prefer well-known brands.

The leading five chains control 50 percent of the jewellery market in Poland.

The market leader, Apart, is achieving high turnover in spite of the fierce competition.

Poland is also attracting jewellery brands from abroad, including Tous and Pandora.

The development of innovative jewellery collections is also a noticeable trend.

Meanwhile, the segment of small jeweller's shops is shrinking.

Between 2012 and 2014 only 2,700 small jeweller's stores were registered in Poland, while nearly 4,400 were removed from the register.
